Asana

Breathing techniques, poses, movements and meditation, known as yoga is an ancient form of exercise that develops and improves physical, emotional and spiritual health.  Think of the union occurring between the mind, body and spirit or the practice of physical postures or poses, this is yoga.

Yoga is really about creating balance in the body.   Developing both strength and flexibility through the performance of poses or postures and each having its own physical benefits to your kidneys, intestines, nervous system and other pelvic organs.  Lung capacity is improved as well as posture and will leave you feeling less fatigued.

When beginning yoga you should work with a certified instructor and confer with your physician prior to beginning.  Round out your workout with the proper yoga gear, such as mats, blocks and fitness attire.
